Boundlessly deep and hypnotically tranquil, this scent seems to possess an elemental potency, deploying sweet, weightless florals, crisp myrtle and embracing lavender. A gently smoky cedar wood & vetiver combination dance on a damp carpet of heliotrope, stirring beneath the placid surface like the electricity of an approaching thunderstorm. A languid, almost sappy vanilla, and cloudy, tropical patchouli only further perpetuate the captivating complexity, signalling marvellous sophistication without ever raising the volume above a constant and soothing hum. Despite the name, Ennui_noir is anything but boring; rather, it presents a meditative challenge of thought over action meant for those with the spiritual fortitude to find deep meaning beneath still waters. In order to exhibit how unappealing and sable boredom is, Filippo Sorcinelli designed the flacon to be just as unattractive which, in an interesting twist, has raised much interest.
