With its iris and incense accord, Iris Nazarena matches the world’s most precious aromatic material with the most ancient. Mysterious and sensuous, the rare Iris Nazarena gets its name comes from the place where it mainly thrives: the mountains east of Nazareth. The stunning beauty of this flower, its brown or purple-colored spots and the delicate, bluish-purple veins captivated Karl Bradl - the founder of Aedes de Venustas, to become the muse and inspiration for this second perfume from the brand, brought to life by perfumer, Ralf Schwieger.
Limpid ambrette, with its pear, rose and musk facets, opens the top notes. Rose de mai adds a touch of floral sensuality as the aromatic, resinous juniper berry introduces the incense. The cool, vivid green of star anise weaves mineral, leather-scented tendrils throughout the fragrance with patchouli, vetiver, incense, clove and oud.
